Dr. Allison teaches mathematics at P. K. Yonge Developmental Research School where she currently teaches Geometry and Honors Geometry.  She has 27 years experience teaching mathematics at the middle school, high school and college level.

Her research interests focus on issues of social justice and equity in the secondary mathematics classroom.  Dr. Allison also enjoys folk dancing, hand drumming, camping, and being a part of the Gainesville community.  Dr. Allison's personal philanthrophy is working with the local homeless population.  She serves as a collection point for canned food items, socks (new and used), bottled water, clothing, back packs, camping equipment, cards, books, games, toiletry and other items to help relieve local homeless needs.
